Prior to being a filmmaker, he was a creative force for agencies like DDB and Heimat Berlin and won numerous awards around the globe, including Cannes Lions and Effies alike.
From day one, Bastian dives deep into every aspect
of the script to create the most beautiful and engaging films possible.
He believes that you can — or rather have to — find the humanity in every story you tell, as this is the only way to make your audience connect with what you have to say.
You can sense his humor and his love for people in every film he makes.
Together with his wife, he recently finished his first feature documentary film about the refugee crisis in Myanmar.
When he isn’t shooting or traveling the world, you’ll find him cooking seafood or lying on a beach somewhere around Cascais, Portugal.
